it had been so long, i thought it was over for good, but then you had to go and start selling beer, and not just beer, but Belgium beer. Okay i give up, maybe we can make the long distance relationship work, though your pizza sucks, work on that please.

    2. dear little bear video,
    please get lost, thank you

    3. dear wallace and grommit,
though we have watched "the wrong trousers" 500 times this week, you still make us laugh. thank you

    4. dear blue comet,
we miss you very very badly, it would be so awesome if you would come back. please, we need you

    Daily To Do List

so my husband thinks i can be alittle OCD about somethings, (obviously not all things due to cleanliness of bathroom)
little does he know that i may demand order where i can get it because i am so chaotic in my head, though this might just be the case with the OCD population, so maybe he's right,
anyway, to face my feelings of disorientation as of late, i am venturing  to have a check list for things to do everyday, cause well, i always mean to do things and yet, they just don't seem to happen, (an alarm goes off on my phone at 5pm to remind me to feed the children) so here's to a little more structure and hopefully well being
    1. pray with in first hour of getting up- (usually helps with rest of day, or at least my cranky attitude)
    2. walk ( got no excuse with my Cadillac of a stroller )
    3. kiss husband
    4. have intentional time with lucia
    5.  one creative endevor (draw, sew, bake, cook)
    6. take kids outside
    7. wash and lotion face
    8. brush lucia's teeth
    9. do sit-ups (don't laugh, though i would love to be doing this for my elephant of a stomach, i am really motivated by my back- my chiropractor siad he wouldn't have to see me at all if i did sit ups everyday, so we shall see about that)
    10. read one chapter (at least) of book

  • Four years and counting . . .

so a lot has happened in these four years of matrimony
here's a random list as i ponder this anniversary
    1. since 6 months into it, despite about 1500 matchbooks we could easily reference,
we cannot remember the date, is it the 14th or 15th? (hence we have celebration plans for tomorrow night . . .)
    2. might be obnoxious but we love reminiscing about our awesome wedding each year, it was just so much fun, maybe that's why some people with lots of money get married over and over again,
    3. can't believe it's only been 4 years, seems much longer, prob cause we fast tracked it with the kids,
    4. so we both like to read alot, and we both like to read outloud, but we cannot stand listening to each other read outloud, hence the idea i had once that we could read a book together has never happened, i think this is funny for some reason
    5. josh hates paul simon and u2, and i hate counting crows but we both love mos def and billy holiday (this is in the vain of my zia and zio who had grateful dead vs. bobby brown and landed on lyle lovitt as a compromise)
    6. just this week i realised that marriage is about cleaning my hair out of the shower, just because i know he hates it, and some how this feels like a really hard thing for me to do
    7. i now can watch the phillies and follow what is happening and know the player's names
    8. he said he has learned to really enjoy and appreciate good food because of me ( i love that)
    9. he's a great dad
    10. for mother's day, after watching the kids alll day saturday so i could work on my illustration job (okay i love saying that) he made awesome food and packed an awesome picnic, makes him an awesome little husband, but also sets the bar a ltitle high for father's day . . .

A Praying Life: Connecting With God in a Distracting World

    this is not a list

but a little story cause i usually just tink my daughter is crazy, but this was cute and an enjoyable exchange

today, this evening, as josh finished his workday and joined us down stairs,
just in time to hang with micah baby,
lucia and i headed out to trader joe's in search of banana chips
(charlie and lola eat bags of banana chips, and currently charlie and lola are our favorite)

and on the way home from this venture, with bag of banana chips in hand, decked out with pink from barette to crocks, with large pink whistle around neck, and pink tj baloon tied on arm (and bouncing around in the rearview mirror)
lucia informed me that she did not like the banana chips,
"You don't like them?" I ask
"I can't like them, they're yucky, can't like them, they're yucky, how about a banana? i would like a banana"
So i start the peel of a banana from the grocvery bag in the front seat and hand it back
(background: long story short, lucia has not had bananas in sometime due to her required current high fiber diet)

She munches o the banana happily pointing out the window to things, kicking her legs,
"Daddy likes bananas, Micah baby likes bananas too"
"Yes mommie likes bananas too, but do you know what mommie likes best? apples" (i know i know writing out how you talk to a 2 yr old is ridiculous)
    "Oh, I like apples too"
    "What do you like best?"
"Hmm, broccoli, m&m's, and yogurt, i love them"
    (no lie broccoli was first!)
"oh yeah, everyone loves m&m's, but what about shrimp? I thought that was your favorite?"
"Shrimp in my tummy!" she yells and laughs

okay, not ammused? that's fine, but i enjoyed it,
oh, and um that pink tj's balloon,
somehow escaped as we got out of the car and floated away
    heartbreaking
good thing we got strawberries the size of connenecuit
